Lefkada is the fourth largest island of the Ionian Islands. Its shores are very close to those of the mainland, which separates the historian strait Drepanos while connected to the mainland by a floating bridge. The island is rich in groundwater and that is one reason why much of it is green, while the high mountains are sources for many waterfalls, which pass through the mountainous terrain and reach the sea.
Just 4 km from the beach, close to the cosmopolitan Nidri, located and waterfalls Dimosaris. It is a mountainous region which concentrates much water resulting in the creation of two large and several smaller waterfalls, and their creation is due to the homonymous torrent.
The first waterfall we encounter is the smallest, called Ronnie and forms a beautiful turquoise lake. Both he and the next are hidden between huge rocks. The next waterfall forms and is a turquoise lake and has a height of about 12 meters.

During the summer months the water quantity is reduced but nevertheless awe is great as the cliffs and the sound of water create an impressive effect.
